ClearBlue Markets Supports EcoLinks' Clean Cooking Project in Ghana: A Milestone in Climate Cooperation 🌍
ClearBlue Markets is proud to announce our collaboration with EcoLinks in developing and commercializing their transformative clean cooking project in Ghana. As the technical carbon advisor, ClearBlue will help guide this significant initiative.
The ambitious project aims to distribute 100,000 high-efficiency charcoal-based cookstoves, replacing traditional three-stone stoves. This will promote cleaner cooking methods and significantly reduce air pollution and carbon emissions, leading to a healthier environment for all.
Following the successful primary stakeholder consultation, we are thrilled to share the enthusiastic feedback and support we received from the community. Emmanuel Otoo, a local farmer from Amisano, shared his experience: "My mother received a cookstove in the pilot project. That's when I understood the importance of the cookstove and saw improvement in the community."
The recent implementation agreement between Ghana and Singapore is a significant milestone in international cooperation in the fight against climate change. EcoLinks' project has received pre-authorization from the government of Ghana's Carbon Market Office for trading under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. This agreement not only allows Singaporean companies to invest in Ghana but also paves the way for enhanced international collaboration.
The project is currently under preliminary review for Gold Standard certification. Subject to Gold Standard approval, it qualifies for Article 6.2 cooperation agreements and is eligible for CORSIA Phase I.
We are excited to share that the project is now open for investments and forward offtake opportunities. If you are interested in supporting this transformative initiative, please reach out to the ClearBlue Project Development team for more information.
