Ontario inks cap-and-trade link deal with California and Quebec
Ontario on Friday signed an agreement with Quebec and California to link their cap-and-trade schemes under the WCI programme starting in Jan. 2018.
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard, and California Governor Jerry Brown gathered in Quebec City, along with Ontario and Quebec’s environment ministers, to sign the 21-page, three-way agreement, which has long been on the cards.
